The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is the airline’s 28th lounge worldwide, and its third Maple Leaf Lounge in the U.S.
The modern and exclusive Air Canada lounge at SFO is located in Terminal 2. This is the first Air Canada lounge have an outdoor lounge terrace. It has a range of premium amenities, food and beverages for eligible customers to make the travel experience even more comfortable and convenient before their flights out of San Francisco International Airport.
What’s at Air Canada’s San Francisco International Airport’s Maple Leaf Lounge
The Air Canada SFO Lounge is designed with San Francisco-based architectural firm Gensler.
A distinguishing feature of Air Canada’s San Francisco International Airport’s Maple Leaf Lounge is its large outdoor terrace with aircraft and runway views. It is the first of its kind with an outdoor terrace, featuring two vapor fireplaces produced by Canadian company CF + D.
There are 30 seats at the outdoor terrace for those who wish to enjoy the outdoor air before their flight.
The 8168 square ft. (761 square metre) airport retreat has a further 135 seats indoors and raises Air Canada’s flight and airport experience for customers travelling from California to Canada or through to destinations around the world.
The lounge is decorated with works by a collection of multidisciplinary art that reflects and pays homage to California and Canada. Amongst the artists featured is Canadian painter Shawn Evans, along with California artist Amos Goldbaum who created a custom mural from the Air Canada lounge.
It pays homage to its California location through its design and decor, and the food and beverage selections presented, which highlight local makers and flavours.
