Charlotte Garden is the rooftop garden on Level 7 of Lotte Young Plaza.

It can be reached by taking the escalator up, past all the youth-oriented shops and brands within the Lotte property at the end of the Myeongdong shopping street.

The open air roof top garden is great for those who need a breather from the busyness below. Although not very large, Charlotte Garden at Lotte Young Plaza does have seating areas where any one can take a seat and have a break.

The roof top garden is divided into two halves, separated by the escalator well and passage way. It is decorated with shrubs and bushes, and brightly colored flowers that bloom seasonally.

Heart-shaped decorations (yes, it is intended to cater to the young crowd) serve as photo backdrops to help you capture a memory together with whoever you are visiting Charlotte Garden with.

On one side of Lotte Young Plaza’s roof top Charlotte Garden, there is also a bronze colored statue of a lady and a man. The man is kneeling before the lady.

Is this Charlotte?

The lady in the sculpture reminds us of the English novelist and poet Charlotte Brontë. Whether it is or not, it adds to the romance of the Lotte Young Plaza’s Charlotte Garden.

Level 7 of Young Plaza is also where the building connects to AvenueL. The link bridge here is a secret spot in Myeongdong that most visitors are unaware about.

There are  chairs here where people can take a seat and look out through the glass windows and down on to the activity at the Myeongdong street market below.
