Fairprice Finest Clarke Quay is a supermarket unlike any other in Singapore. While it does have the regular shopping aisles for groceries, that is only one section of the store. Housed in an old warehouse at Clarke Quay, it has other sections that will cater and draw in other patrons.
Fairprice Finest Clarke Quay: Supermarket at Clarke Quay Singapore
Fairprice Finest Clarke Quay is located along the Read Street section of Clarke Quay. It is just beside the Swee Lee Clarke Quay store.
When you first step into the store from Read Street, you will be greeted by what looks like a regular supermarket area. There is the fresh produce area that feature produced that is sourced both locally and internationally.
Just to the side of the entrance is a special section that showcases local brands and gifts that people may wish to buy. It is a reminder of the location of the Fairprice Finest Clarke Quay store – a place where tourist and out of town visitors frequent.
As you make your way into the store, around the perimeter of the store are some of the sections that would expect to find in a regular supermarket. These include the chilled and frozen sections, a dairy section and even household products.
Grocer Food Hall at Fairprice Finest Clarke Quay
At the center of the store is the Grocer Food Hall.
This is where you can buy food from one of the many stalls. A dining area in the middle of the Grocer Food Hall provides a place to enjoy the food. However, we do feel that the food was on the pricey side – maybe that had to do with the location.
There are even individual seating spots with power outlets at one end of the Grocer Food Hall.
Besides the food stalls, you can also pick up something from either the Deli or Ready to Eat sections.
The selection of cheeses caught our eye and you can assemble your own cheese platform from the cheeses available.
One interesting feature at the deli counter is that you can purchase meats and have them cook it for you. See a steak that looking like it has your name on it? Purchase it and hand it over to the kitchen so that you can enjoy it. Do note that there is a cooking charge.
Other food available includes Japanese ready to eat foods.
Another seating area is colored bright red. It is marked as an Experiential Zone but perhaps you can use it to experience the food if it is not in use.
The Grocer Bar
Another interesting section of Fairprice Finest Clarke Quay is the Grocer Bar.
Fancy a drink? You can get it from the Grocer Bar. There are beers and stouts on tap, along with wines too. They even serve light food like oysters and cheese platters to accompany the tipple.
Fairprice Finest Clarke Quay offers a variety of shopping and dining experiences that you wouldn’t normally find in a supermarket. This makes it an interesting spot to visit, or get a drink or some food, at Clarke Quay Singapore.
