Singapore is constantly evolving and one of these evolutions is the new housing estate of Tengah. The housing estate in the northwestern part of the island has a new shopping mall, Plantation Plaza, bringing with it amenities that serve those who are living in the newly minted neighbourhood.
Plantation Plaza in Tengah, Singapore
Plantation Plaza in Tengah is a development by the Housing and Development Board. Located at Block 127 Plantation Crescent, the five-storey neighbourhood centre in Tengah has opened on 28 June 2024.
Comprising more than 10,000 square metres of space, Plantation Plaza will have a total of 75 shops. These shops are progressively opening over time and will eventually serves as a shopping mall destination that serves the needs of residents in Tengah.
What’s at Plantation Plaza
As of the initial opening on 28 June 2024, there are only a limited number shops that are open. Many of the units are still under renovation as businesses fit out the spaces. However it makes sense for the shops that are ready to open up first; the sooner the shops are open, the sooner residents will be able to benefit from the amenities.
A ubiquitous restaurant chain that can be found all over Singapore and now also at Plantation Plaza is McDonalds.
The McDonald’s at Plantation Plaza is now open.
Another welcomed spot where residents can get food at Plantation Plaza is the Koufu food court on the third floor. There are more than 10 individual food stores located within the Koufu food court that are now open for business.
There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas at the Plantation Plaza food court.
What many of the residents at Tengah will be most pleased about the Giant supermarket at Plantation Plaza, found at the basement level. Before the opening of the supermarket at Plantation Plaza, residents would have to make their way to Bukit Batok East in order to get their groceries. The opening of the Plantation Plaza Giant supermarket makes it much easier for them to get their everyday shopping done.
Plantation Plaza is still in the midst of opening and more shops will be opening over time. The new shopping centre at Tengah is a welcomed addition to the new and developing neighbourhood of Tengah in Singapore.
